Model median and band

The line is the median across the loaded models; the shaded band spans their 10–90% range. With one model the band collapses onto the line. Even with several it is a lower bound on the uncertainty, not the uncertainty.

GR4J prior

A simple conceptual model with default parameters, not calibrated anywhere. It is there as a physical reference: if the learned models and the prior disagree by a lot, look twice.

Training-data support

How typical the catchment is, compared with the basins the models learned from. Its distance to the nearest training basins is ranked among basins the models were tested on with their own gauges held out (spatial folds): high up to the 75th percentile, medium to the 95th, low beyond.
